Not flesh of my flesh
nor bone of my bone
but still miraculously my own.

Never forget for a single minute
you didn't grow under my heart
but in it!

We Are Home and Settling In!

This is the first chance I have had to get on the computer since our arrival home at 2:00 AM on Saturday morning. We have been so busy with visitors and entertaining Gabby and catching up on sleep with her! When Gabriella naps, we nap too! Thank God Ken has been such a supportive partner; he has helped us out tremendously and I honestly don't know if I would have survived these first couple of days without him! Gabriella is settling in well and seems rather content and happy. It is as if she knows that this is her forever home and this is where she belongs. I promise I will post pictures and specific stories about our first couple of days sometime this week.

  1. Congrats!! We are so happy to see that you made it home safe. Looking forward to hearing all about it!!!

  2. Hi Melissa,

CONGRATULATIONS! I've been following your adoption journey on line and have been cheering for you all along. I'm so glad for your family and Gabriella. She'll be worth all the headaches you had to encounter. Take care and enjoy her - she'll grow up so fast - believe me I know - I'm now a grandmother to a beautiful 2 year old little girl that I'm enjoying very much. Sherry Parker

  3. I have been checking your adoption journey and am so happy for you!!
Cherish every moment with Gabriella!! You will be amazed how fast she will grow.
    Take care, Diana Ellington
