1st Day of our Pennsylvania Summer Vacation

We were up by 4 AM this morning and pulled out of the driveway just before 5:30 AM. It took us a bit longer to get on the road than we had planned. Gabriella was wide awake and fought hard to not go back to sleep. We pulled off of the highway in Connecticut to wait out a severe downpour. The weather was okay other than that 20 minute window. We had to make two diaper change stops over the next half hour and Gabriella finally fell asleep around 8:00 AM. Prior to her falling asleep she was starting to get fussy and antsy. The trip took us only about 5 hours. We ate lunch, checked in to the hotel and took a nap. We then took Gabriella to Chuck E. Cheese.

Her favorite activity at Chuck E. Cheese was loading up the coin return slot of the machines with coins!:

After dinner we stopped by Sesame Place since it is directly across the street from our hotel to look around a bit.

There were a lot of ducks in the Sesame Place Parking lot. We fed them bread. Gabriella wasn't interested in getting down near them or feeding them herself. She did talk about them a lot after we left.

She also enjoyed a piece of the duck's bread herself!

Tomorrow we are off to the Six Flag's Wild Animal Safari in New Jersey, only about a half hour from our hotel.
